Believe and Achieve
If children are encouraged to believe in themselves then anything is possible.
Small class sizes do increase student confidence. Confidence is the capacity to trust ourselves, others and the world despite uncertainty and the presence of challenge.
At the Academy we take the time to understand, engage and enthuse all of our students. We want to find out what makes each one tick. Smaller class sizes mean that a small hurdle for one student could actually be a big hurdle for another and we recognise and celebrate each individual success.
The Academy is an approved centre to offer Edexcel qualifications from Pearson. Pearson is the world’s leading learning company, with 40,000 employees in more than 70 countries working to help people of all ages to make measurable progress in their lives through learning. Pearson provides learning materials, technologies, world-class qualifications, assessments and services to teachers and students in order to help people everywhere aim higher and fulfil their true potential. In the UK, Pearson is the largest awarding organisation offering academic and vocational qualifications that are globally recognised and benchmarked, with educational excellence rooted in names like Edexcel, BTEC and LCCI. Pearson is driving innovation through digital products such as ResultsPlus, and supporting skills and employability for progression in study, work and life.
The Academy is a micro-school.
Many of us are asking how schools today can be more personalised. More human. Less institutional. Less one-size-fits-all. One answer is to create a micro-school where we foster a small, relationship-driven community of learners.
The learning relationships that matter most in a micro school model are those between the students. A smaller, relationship-driven school enables all humans (regardless of age) to be more human with one another—and to learn more from one another as we blend a range of year groups together for project work and presentations.
The Academy is a school that cares about the developmental progression as well as the educational journey of each and every child. A school which pupils describe as 'one big family'. A family who loves to learn and work with your child on their way through the UK curriculum, creatively and successfully.
